A third generation 10/100 Gigabit Ethernet switching solution for the Matrix E7 and Matrix E6, the Matrix 6H352-25 delivers pinpoint control to critical network entry areas, without the expense and complexity of routed solutions. It also provides the throughput and port densities needed to eliminate bandwidth concerns and serve in the largest networks.
The Matrix 6H352-25 provides 24 switched 10/100 Ethernet ports via industry standard RJ45 connectors. Additionally, the module supports Enterasys' VHSIM technology. The module's VHSIM slot can be populated with a variety of optional interfaces including switched Gigabit Ethernet (1000Base-T SX/LX/ELX using the VHSIM-G6 or VHSIM-G02), as well as OC-3 and OC-12 ATM, Fast Ethernet, FDDI, and even WAN, using one of the available HSIMs.
With embedded Layer 2-4 services on advanced ASICs, the 6H352-25 brings comprehensive quality of service, security, and traffic containment to desktops and servers at the network edge--guaranteeing delivery of high-priority applications, enabling service level agreements (SLAs) by provisioning bandwidth, and preventing security breaches by stopping them at their sources. The module also provides advanced multi-layer switching services, full 9 groups of RMON, SMON and feature-rich configuration/classification capabilities.
